What's the best way to set up internal links on my blog posts?

A cool tool you can utilize is is Mentionable. When you keep writing a post, you type the @ symbol followed by a keyword for that line and the plugin automatically throws up a list of earlier posts. You can choose one of them and the keyword gets linked automatically. There is also a paid option of the plugin which allows for greater rules to interlink even earlier posts amongst themselves.
