If you're just starting out, the best ways to gather customer data are by spying on your competitors and seeing what your customers are talking about online.
We go into detail about this in the lessons for the first module of the AMP program.
For example, you can plug your competitors into free tools like Alexa, SEMRush, SpyFU, and BuzzSumo to discover demographic info, keyword searches, what ads your competitors are using to attract your customers, and what content they like to share on social media. You can also learn more about your customers by reading industry forums, Quora, and Reddit.
Doing competitive research can you show you where there is a market gap that isn't being filled, what the most competitive markets are, and where/how you are most likely to succeed. Give it a try!
And of course, if you're still having trouble after you've done some research, feel free to start a discussion in the Facebook group to get some ideas from other members and the Neil Patel team moderators.
